Belated Blogging Blues

Today is a difficult day for me and probably alot of you are feeling the same way as I do.  Today is a day about our loved ones that are no longer with us.  Last night my hubby and I watched "Dear John", such a great movie!!!  So in the mixed up crazy part of my life, I missed my one year blogaversary (May 1st) and I have several things I feel obligated to blog about and want to so you can see some amazing things  I have received from wonderful blogging friends from all over.  What I have decided to do is finish out the obligations I have made on exchanges, etc.  Post a couple of final posts and put my blog on vacation.  I haven't been a very good blogger lately and even though there are things I really want to share with all of you, I really lack the motivation, no matter how small or how big, to post.  So I will try and keep up with all of your blogs, but feel like my blog has become a downfall for me.  I hope you understand.

Smiles....

Jolene, first, your blog is wonderful! I love visiting your blog. But at the same time I truly understand burn out on writing sometimes but I do hope you still write from time to time. I think you are one talented lady!
Please stay in touch.

Jolene, You were one of the first people to welcome me to the world of blogging 1 year ago. Your words of praise and encouragement have meant so so much to me... I completely understand about deciding to "pause" with blogging. You will be missed by many as your blog is one of the best out there. I truly mean that. I know we have not met in person, however, I know you are genuine person. Take the time you need, but know there are many of us out here that welcome you back when you say you are ready.

Peace and happiness, Faye

Dear sweet Jolene, it sounds like you have a lot going on in your life right now. I pray that there is a lot of good in the midst of the craziness.

The best part of blogging is that we each get to make our own rule about what to blog and how often to blog - no obligations (except the pressure we place on ourselves :-)).

I (selfishly) hope your break is a short one because I will miss catching up on life in your little corner of the world, being inspired by your creativity, and laughing at your wonderful sense of humor.

You will be missed, Jolene.

Sorry to hear you will be leaving Jo.
But I totally understand. Sometimes it's just not the right time in our lives to share with everyone.
*hugs*
And I'll wait anxiously for your return.

Hugs Jolene! I will miss you but I understand. Hopefully you just need a break and we can enjoy your inspirational posts again in the future. I hope we can continue to keep in touch via email.

I can totally relate to the no motivation to post thing, I feel kinda like following in your footsteps... I will miss you though, especially around Halloween.

Sweet Jolene, I am going to miss your inspiring and funny and wonderful posts. I hope the crazy things in your life are not weighing you down too much. I do know how you feel though as far as the blogging goes. I have some heavy things in my life and I choose not to blog about those but sometimes, they make it hard to blog, in an upbeat way, about other things. Blogging does take time and to do even a quick post takes sometimes more time or energy than we have. Please know how many people you've touched by your inspiration, your kindness and your generosity and that I will keep your blog alive on my blog roll so that when you do decide to come back to us, I'll know it. I hope you're still planning to join us in September!
Hugs to you!

I'm sorry to hear about your pause from blogging but I can fully understand it. The priorities in our lives often change. But I hope that you will come back one day.

We are not giving up on you Jolene. ; ) I am also a very lazy blogger but I think of me as the echo flu. Just when you think you are never going to see me again, I am back! Actually, now that sounds a lot like a line out of Terminator lol. Blog when you feel like sharing your life and don't make it an obligation. Its summer, get fresh air and get out there and blog again when the colder months force you inside the house. That is what everyone does I think. Sending you lots of hugs and just throw a line out every once in a while that we know you are ok.

My dear friend! What? You can't quit now! Don't make anything permanent for heavens sake. There are no "rules" in blogging. No one is keeping track of your anniversary but you, and do not feel obligated to post about anything you have received, unless you feel like it. If you only post once a month or less, we will be here to see what you have to say!
Life gets so busy. I know that this blog thing can feel like one more obligation, so just know that we understand, and don't expect more out of you than you can give. The friends you have made will last forever!
I hope you know how wonderful you are. I hope you still want to join us for stitch group, as you are the life of the party!
Take care, and many hugs sweet friend. Have a great week.

You take a vacation and come back whenever you feel like it. I'm probably going to do something similar, too, at least for a while in the summer. Blogs are meant to enjoy, not rule our lives; so while you'll be missed, know that you have many friends you'd have never met without it. Everything has a time and a season for it. Take care. :)

Blogging should be enjoyable and on your own terms. No one has expectations as to how often you blog so I hope you will find the desire to blog again some day in the future. Your posts are interesting and a joy to read. Take care, Jolene.

I so hope you make it a "break" and not a retirement! I LOVE your blog and always so enjoy my time here.

In any case, I'm glad I met you and I'll keep you in my prayers! :)

I will miss seeing your posts - even though I've only been at this for a couple months...And a vacation means you can always come back home to the blog universe. And anyway, are there rules about posting? I have some I'm following who post monthly...enjoy your summer!
