Sunshine and Shadows

Hello....is anybody there?  It's me, Jolene.  Yes, I am still among the living, just been hiding in the shadows.  I have been down for quite a while it seems like and I just haven't felt like blogging.  Do you ever have times when you feel like that?  I guess I was in need of a little sunshine to poke my head out of hibernation.  I think Jennifer must have known I needed a little sunshine and she blessed me with this:

THANK YOU Jennifer for sharing this award with me.  I think it was just what I needed.  I do have quite a few things I have been wanting to share with you all.  Maybe I need to get my camera out and start getting a show and tell post ready.

Today I spent some time in the yard doing a little spring clean up.  The sun was shining and it felt so good to be out doing something different and I love working in my yard.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I promise to be a better blogger.  I'll be back on Monday with some finishes to show you.  Until then, have a wonderful evening....I am off to bake the boys some chocolate chip cookies.  Smiles....

Jolene

I KNOW I've felt that way for the last couple of weeks (well; up until about the middle of last week). The point is that I think we can all understand, and you don't have to worry about "being a better blogger"--we like you just fine as you are! ;)

Looking forward to those update pics,
Berit

I definitely get that way sometimes... especially in the winter and then, in the summer, just too busy to blog as much as I might like.... glad you're feeling better.
The sunshine award is much deserved - you are one of the sunniest people I know!

I definitely get down sometimes -- right now for example! lol! Hope you feel happier soon. Congrats on the award!

You so deserve the Sunshine award Jolene, congratulations!

Blogging should be as you feel like it and not through obligation. It's your own creation that's run by you, so don't feel guilty. People will still drop by whenever you have the desire to post. We all go through different phases with our blogs, you're not alone.

Jane said it best, Jolene. Blog when you can & you feel like it. No need to apologize for not blogging. It's meant to be enjoyed. Hang in there!

Your award is very richly deserved!

I so understand how you are feeling. it happens to everyone especially after this long snowy winter. Sunshine and getting your hands dirty in the gardens is sure to help.

Lokking forward to your stitchy update.

I also spend my day in the garden and there is nothing like sunshine to lift the moral. Ok, I am hurting all over but its good pain. I got a lot done. As we get more sunshine we will all put out new ideas and growth like our plants. : ) Enjoy the cookies.

Oh yeah, me too. I think sometimes it's when the season changes - it's that transition period that sometimes upsets my body or mind or something!

Anyway it's nice to see your post, and hear that you're feeling better. Getting out in the yard definitely makes me feel better!

Looking forward to seeing photos soon! Take care!

I do get that way at times Jolene. The good thing is that it eventually passes. I am looking forward to seeing your show and tell. Show and tell is my favorite!

What a perfect award for you. Your blog is always a delight.

Yep, I think we all feel that way about blogging sometimes - it's just too much time or effort to create an entry. But, then we do it and we receive all these wonderful comments from wonderfully talented women in our little blogging community and it is all worthwhile.

Can't wait to see what you have to share!

And I have missed your sunny blogs, but I so understand. It's been since last week I could even get on and really look at everything. Sometimes life gets busy, or you're just not in the mood. We all go through that; the long winter really got to me, and I live in NC (good thing I'm not further north!) Congrats on the award - much deserved. Looking forward to seeing you around more. :)
