RECIPE FOR A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Recipe for Christmas All Year Long

Take a heap of child-like wonder
That opens up our eyes
To the unexpected gifts in life—
Each day a sweet surprise.

Mix in fond appreciation
For the people whom we know;
Like festive Christmas candles,
Each one has a special glow.

Add some giggles and some laughter,
A dash of Christmas food,
(Amazing how a piece of pie
Improves our attitude!)

Stir it all with human kindness;
Wrap it up in love and peace,
Decorate with optimism, and
Our joy will never cease.

If we use this healthy recipe,
We know we will remember
To be in the Christmas spirit,
Even when it's not December.

May the wonder of Christmas fill your heart and bring you peace. Thank you for sharing your talents with me this year, you are all an inspiration to me. I have loved visiting your blogs and have enjoyed your friendships. May we all have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year in 2010. I hope Santa treats you well this year and brings you everything you wished for and them some. God Bless you and yours this Holiday Season.

Please leave me a comment and let me know one of the items on your wish list that you would like to stitch in the year 2010. I will be granting a wish on December 26th to one of my blogging friends. You can leave your wishes on this post until midnight Christmas Day. Good luck!

Merry Christmas Jolene! I have to admit, I've struggled this year, a lot....just having a hard time with several things in my life. But remembering the "reason behind the season" as they say, has helped me some.
If I had one wish on something new for the stash, it would have to be Paradise Lost from Plum Street Samplers.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas my dear...
Hugs....

Dear Jolene, what a fun and kind idea for a giveaway!!

I would like to stitch either The Sweetheart Tree's "Think Snow" or Bent Creek's "Red Bird Sampler" if I were lucky enough to win this giveaway! :D What fun! I know you said to pick one from our wishlist, but if I DID actually luck out and win I'd still want a teensy bit of a surprise; also it makes it easier for you if you can't find one then there's another choice!

Best wishes for you and yours in the new year. Are you also planing to treat yourself to something nice for a new year stitch?

Merry Christmas! Thank you for sharing over the past year, I'm so glad I found your blog.

I think my choice from my wishlist would be "The Riddle" by The Drawn thread. I love the design, but I also love the sentiment and think it's something appropriate for this time of year!

I've got lots on my wish-to-stitch kist, but my top favourite is Beloved sal by A stitcher's Hands. I've already got the fabric and silk but no pattern yet. Oh well, some day!

Merry Christmas! Like one of the other comments no matter how rough/tough a year some of us have had remembering the reason for the season helps us to forget for a little while our troubles. I think my most wished for piece this year is Paradise Lost by Plum Street samplers.

Hope your family has the happiest of holiday seasons.

Jolene-

You have such a generous heart, how kind of you to have a Christmas giveaway. I have a wonderful stash of charts but I rarely ever pick up any fabric. Fabric of any size, count, or color would be treat.

I pray that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas together.

Merry Christmas, thank you for your sweet comments this week. It's been a rough one.
I love reading your blog.
This year I'm going to try and complete a Dutch sampler and I am contemplating Double Dutch by Sampler Cove. The colors are stunning and the design is beautiful!
